TRAINING ACCOUNTS
HOW TO CREATE A TRAINING ACCOUNT?

You must be logged into XM Basecamp, then navigate to your profile on the top right and click “Training Account” to initiate the flow.

Note: Training accounts use the same credentials (username and password) as your Qualtrics account unless they have an SSO account, in which case SSO users will have a separate username and password for their training accounts. Their username will include “+training” before the @ sign. (E.g. if their email address is john@example.com, their username will be john+training@example.com).

See the creation flow below:

Training Account Creation Flow

ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS TO CREATE A TRAINING ACCOUNT?

  • If you have an active Qualtrics account: There are no requirements, you can create one whenever you need it to.
  • If you have a free Qualtrics account: For you to be able to create a Training account through XM Basecamp you will need to purchase any certification exam. If not you can complete as many of the training activities as your free account allows.
  • If you’re a FedRamp user: You don’t have access to a Training account due to Gov1 rules.
WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRAINING ACCOUNTS?

  • Limits and restrictions: There is no admin access and advanced features like API, javascript, and integrations are turned off. There are also restrictions on response collection, total emails, and SMS. These accounts are limited accounts. They should only be used to complete training activities. They should not replace a regular Qualtrics account/license. The permissions that have been blocked have been blocked under direction of the security team. None of the training activities should require they pass the limits set on their account.
  • Expiration: If a Training account is inactive for 6 months or more, it will automatically be deleted. If a customer desires a training account after it is deleted, they simply need to re-initiate the training account creation flow from Basecamp.
